LEGACY
This eve is worth reminiscing
my doom of adolescence,
the charismatic youth, flamboyant,
no strength for twenty's,
upcoming battles in gaurdian's absence.
A youth with no vision was I,
a hut with holes and foundation moles,
was all my father left behind.
Was it a choice or an order for him,
to leave his son and wife and go by.
What is the cost of meal,
I learned the day I didn't get one.
Empty mind holds satin
but empty stomach is great fashion.
Hunger blesses man with sane shine.
The next day, mother arranged lunch,
the weakest showed me what is strength.
She left house in morn,
worked from dusk till dawn.
Caring for the son sleeping at home
and dreaming a gentleman he'll become.
She left for me the lessons,
the thoughts of compassion,
troubles to build this man
and a life that she left behind.
This legacy is what I attained,
the legacy that I am chained.
Oh son..
this world is everything and nothing,
this world is hell and heaven.
I am leaving you with words,
I hope they hold worth.
"This life will let you earn
every jewel, fabric or fun,
but what you earn hurting others,
will hurt you in multiples.
A man's empathy is his biggest jewel
and his deeds are wealth flourishing in bloom.
Virtue comes with greatness,
greatness starts with strength,
strength that is comforting.
Only God is the giver,
never ask anyone anything,
if you deserve it, it'll come your way
and if it doesn't, there's something bigger waiting."
