PERPLEXED JUDICIARY

"I understand democracy
as something that gives the weak,
the same chance as the strong",
said some freedom fighter,
a believer of constitutional justice.

But when power lies
in the clutches of polites,
Truth jigs unveiled,
legitimacy and conviction
go on unsailed.

The axiom so beautiful and bold
of leaving thousands guilty on parole
but not impeaching an innocent at all.
Axiom doesn't hold good anymore.
New one goes like,
leave thousands guilty with bail
and put innocents in jail.

Bills are passed in houses,
without much debates and ado,
as if it's a foul play
of touch and go.

To condemn discrimination
on the basis of caste, creed or gender,
ventures made to upsurge representation
and reservations came into existence.
Pero, it's time to shut down venture.
Promptly, reservations are turning into reasons
for mis-representation and demarcation.

Youth of the nation
with no youth leader,
is falling into militarism
or as weapon in terrorism.

Delibration on economic absurdity
and sinking nation's floating deficits,
are not elephants in room for media
and activists who think so
are sentenced under sedition or UAPA.

None of the law of the world
is so great that it could 
turn trials into divine justice.
Deaths without explanation
can only be given by God.
No man commands those
"SPECIAL POWERS".

Judiciary is full of colours
with no portrait.
Erudite alter doctrines
the way it suits them,
ignorants return home
cursing the judiciary.

The abyss of this eternally enough night, Where the world swallowed an impenetrable void. Neither the sign of sun nor the spark of moon’s light Just the air humming in whispered dread and sinister glow of corpse-light .
