LIFE AND WEB-SPACE

The era we live in, is an era of "Networking". We are associated with the world every now and then. The era of information technology has never been more glorious than now. The social media has power to bring the king down to slavery and a slave to the governance. Socialising and Networking is as precious as a necessity but still its misuse could be a threat to individuals, society and country. People while using social networking sites come in contact with an internet-borne disease called as Web-addiction. It eats up individual's happiness, positivity, energy, time etc.

Among all the issues, the major ones are discussed below:

➡️Addiction: The addiction of social media gets worse and worse with consumption. They spend a specific amount of time one day to get a particular sense of satisfaction. The other day, more time is spent on consumption to achieve that same satisfaction. The other day some more and more and the person becomes an addict. It's not less than addiction of drugs. It isolates and controls the human minds.

➡️Cyber Crime: Due to huge time spent on social media, many a times people are unable to demarcate between legit and non legit websites and become a victim of several cyber crimes as they are not so frank with the advanced technology, they are even unable to complain and redeem whatsoever loss they incurred.

➡️Star-Struck: Applications like Twitter, instagram, Facebook, etc, enable fans to have an eye on the movements of their favourite celebrities. Stocking is the major problem of the youth now. They believe that someday they'll also recieve the same love and attention which they offer to them and sometimes they fell in great problems.

➡️Spread of misinformation: Social networking sites have become a perennial source of information covering a majority share with false news and vigorous hate speeches. The increasing communalism and radicalism are major side effects of these forces. They are driving the country in an unconstitutional vicious circle of conflict.

The feeling of loneliness creeping in the sorroundings of people mostly the teen and youth is not a sign of development but an alarm of decline.

Healthy proportions and right knowledge of social media could help people in fighting these problems.
